  1. Thou Shalt Not Rule by Consensus – not everyone will always be pleased with every decision, but as long as everyone has been heard, the team is healthy, then Ye must live with and support decisions.
  1. Thou Shalt Be Decisive – it’s less important what Ye decide, than it is that Ye decide, so…decide.
  1. Thou Shalt Not Rely on Secondhand Information – Ye cannot solve an issue involving multiple people without all the parties present. Take time out for Pow-Wows, if needed.
  1. Thou Shalt Fight for the Greater Good – egos, titles, emotions, and past beliefs must be put to the side. Focus on the vision of the organization. Cutting through candy-coating, personalities, and politics lead to faster decisions.
  1. Thou Shalt not Try to Solve Them All – take issues one at a time, and in the order of priority (the most important 1st). Quality vs. quantity counts.
  1. Thou Shall Live with it, End it, or Change it – 100%. (Tip: Ye living with it should be the last resort).
  1. Thou Shalt Choose Short-Term Pain – Solve your problem now, rather than later.
  1. VIII.Thou Shalt Enter the Danger – The issue that Ye fear the most is the one Ye most need to discuss and resolve.
  1. Thou Shalt Take a Shot – Propose a solution! Don’t wait around for someone else to come up with your great idea.
  1. Thou Shalt Not be a Moist Sausage – Ye must have a strong will, firm resolve, and be willing to make tough decisions.
